Until 1990, the house was formerly occupied by a 6 foot, 3 inch fisherman named Robert Jones. It’s hard to believe there was sufficient space left over for a cooker, water tap, bedside cabinet and a bed.
Students at the University of Karlsruhein Germany designed these stylish modular homes, which are built to include numerous uses within one little living space. The house functions similar to a mouse on a wheel; the proprietor can alter the arrangement of the home by walking in the middle to turn it. With just a small bit exercise, the unit can be turned to expose a bed, lounge chair, table, shower, toilet, or a kitchen sink – all in the same space!
A cube designed for 1-2 persons measuring at merely 76 square foot, the Micro Compact Home is a high end small house developed by British architect Richard Horton and the Technical University of Munich. One way or another manages to contain room for two double beds, a bathroom, lobby, dining space for 4-5 people, a kitchen and first-rate entertainment technology. It’s enough to make you want to stay inside.
Sandwiched between its normal-sized neighbors this small house is not the smallest on earth, but it’s probably the smallest one in Toronto,Canada. Boasting a mere 312 square feet of space, the Little House has attracted a lot of attention ever since going on the market recently. Celebrity Ellen Degeneres has expressed curiosity in one day owning the minute house.
